If you want to drive people away, start taking pics of deer from NC and say this is what you guys get in PA. My family from up north won't even consider a hunting trip down here for what they consider dogs with antlers.

My brother is going down to SC in Nov. on a combo deer/hog hunt. I told him I can show him collies bigger than those SC deer but he is still going.

Meat is meat! While he is in SC, tell him he should spring for an Axis or Fallow deer or 2 as well. Them suckers are some of the tastiest in the deer family!

Second row, third buck in is my Grandpa's biggest buck. He shot it shortly after WWII on the day of his grandmother's funeral. They (him and his brother) saw the tracks going into the woods, and followed a short distance but had to turn back to make it to the funeral in time. They walked over the tracks so nobody else could follow. After the funeral they returned and continued trailing it, and he shot it at 30 yards when it stood up.

Those bucks are the 1-2 biggest bucks each of us has shot over 40-50 years, with a couple of the oldest mounts inherited from my grandpa's generation. Overall though most of them are from the past 15 years or so when point restrictions have allowed more bucks to survive their first fall.

No deer in PA?! Then the roadkill I saw along I-79 S must've been some BIG squirrels. Because there's a lot of woods there, and squirrels live in the woods, and they're brown too.
