If they can, it doesn't seem to stop them from using the scrape, so either way it works.

I have never seen negative effects from urinating in scrapes. What I've read suggests that urine degrades pretty quickly, and after a litle while all urine would smell the same to a deer.

I often grab a stick and tear up the scrape, then urinate in it. I do make sure to not leave the stick at the scrape.

I don't piss in my scrapes, but I do toss the stick I use to stir it up off into the woods.

Urine is urine to a deer. I have been in my treestand and pissed out of it and saw two different bucks investigate where my urine had hit branches near the ground. I shot the second one that did that.

Thanks!! It was nice to renew that scrape. It got a lot of traffic in years before, and just suddenly "shut off" when that branch broke.
