Up where we hunt, we usually don't see anything bigger than a forkhorn until October. The big bucks stay deep in the woods and swamps and don't show themselves in the open closer to the rut. Then they all come out of the woodwork and we can see 10-15 different shooters in one weekend. But, in the summer, the fields are all doe and fawn.

Sometimes we'll get racked bucks on trail cams if they are deep enough in the woods. This year, bears, bears and more bears.
