That's why they make ATV's!!!
I wasn't getting a quad in there! lol The only good part about that much snow was that when I did get him back to the road the snow bank was high enough that the tailgate of my truck was level with it so it was an easier drag into the back.

I'm a little late...

This is my first deer. She was taken on Halloween 2014, the last day of anterless season.


And here's my second deer, first buck. He was taken November 18th, 2014 during the main shotgun season.

Reply I did use 165 Gr Ballistic Silver Tips in my .308 but went back to an all copper bullet. Just like the performance better.

We do gutless field dressing -- removing all meat and leaving carcass and guts. Quarter. Easy to get out. Can do this on one trip with a deer but not so easy with elk. Of course, this gutless method is because the truck is way too far away and there's way too much up/down hiking.

Default 8 Pointer

A good way to start the season. I shot this 8point, 160 lb., 14-5/8" spread buck at 62 yards with my brand new Savage .270 in South Carolina.
