Got this buck Tuesday morning. Not the biggest, but I couldn't let him walk this late in the season. Shot him at 187 yards, measured with a Leupold range finder, Ruger 77 MkII 280 Rem., Bushnelle Elite 6500 4.5-30x scope, 150gr. Swift Scirocco bullet.

Thanks Ridge! Just been working, my old computer took a crap on me, so I havnt been on here in awhile. Finally got me a new laptop so I thought I would get on here and see how things have been. Hunting around here has been really slow this year, I took my vacation last week and when this one walked out I decided I best take him. I still have a doe tag that I drew on a controlled hunt, going to try and fill that tag this weekend. I havnt even been seeing any does lately. I finally drew a extra doe tag and cant even buy a doe. LOL. How have you been?

Default First deer with open sites handgun

This guy came along less than an hour after legal shooting time on Monday. Pretty proud to get him with my .357 handgun.

Really staywarmguy, you kill a deer after legal shooting hours and have the temerity to post a picture of it on the internet and say you are proud! Unless your state has some strange rules about killing after hours, I hope you get busted.
If you think about this, he probably shot it in the morning. Which would explain why he would have had to wait until after legal shooting time.

You are probably right. I never considered that. The deer I killed today was killed ten minutes after the opening hour for shootiing.
