Default what to do

So I missed the biggest buck I have ever seen in my life in september. I was sick to my stomach and I have not seen him since. My buddy from work told me he saw that same buck on his way home from work in a field about a half mile from where I hunt. He was in a field with a couple of does feeding. Now my question is, should I try to set up on him or should I keep hunting this spot. I have not hunted it for a while because I was hoping he would come back around if I did not put any pressure on the spot. It will be rut in about a week here, and my thinking is that there is a strong possibility of him wandering back up there. What do you guys think?

If you have permission to hunt that field, its a no brainer, go. Bucks often have summer and winter ranges. By all means go.

Ya i agree with Partick, If you have permission just go ahead and hunt there where your buddy had saw him.
Good luck!
