Default My first deer

I shot my first deer after 3 seasons of hunting hard. I am proud of my doe and what a heart pumping unique experience it was. Shot her with 2 minutes left in legal hunting time at about fifity yards. I dropped her in her tracks with a 12 gauge slug. She dressed out at 110lbs, average size for a Maine doe. Good luck to everyone.

Congrats partner..did the deer fall in her tracks.??.I'm asking the question because I plan to use a shotgun with slugs this year when hunting in the thick swamp.

She really did, maybe she moved a foot haha. I used Federal Premium Barnes Expanders 2 3/4 with a rifled barrel and scope combo. It did the job. Good luck
