How long does rut last?

I am in TN and a buddy of mine who has been out said they are chasing. I haven't had time for about a week now. I am going out this weekend for muzzle loader and then I will have a week off to just hunt November 21-29. What will the deer be doing? Post rut? Full swing? Some input....

What part of tn? I grew up in west TN hunting in Somerville,Henderson,Savannah, and all around Jackson and Memphis usually they start chaseing around muzzelloader and are in full swing around the end of muzzelloader but two years ago they were in full swing at the first of rifle. Hope I helped

Yea that helps thanks. I wanted to get an idea of the time frame. I am in central TN. Montgomery and Stewart counties.
