Default Why such a big difference in tree stand prices??

i realize that just like any other piece of equipment, people choose a tree stand for a variety of reasons. cost, comfort, features, weight etc...i recently bought a well known brand climber for 150 bucks. the most important factor for me is weight because i usually have a long trek to my stands. the stand i bought was 27 lbs. i noticed at the same store another well known brand climber that was 8 lbs heavier and the price was 300 bucks!!! what in the world could possible make someone pay 300 bucks for a treestand when it is so much heavier that others??? i cant possibly imagine paying that much for such a heavy stand. can anyone familiar with stands or brands explain this to me. thanks!

It's hard to tell without knowing the brand so we know what we are comparing...Which two brands are you speaking of???
