Default south alabam rut question

in south alabama, i believe, as do most people, that the peak of the rut is sometime in febuary, after hunting season is over. The activity i have seen in febuary and even march is absolutly incredible. This would lead you to believe that the last days of hunting season would be the hottest. However where we hunt for as long as i remember that hottest week is generally 3-4 days just after the middle of january. We still see good deer chasing up to the end of the season but only a fraction of what we see during those 3 or 4 days. How do you explain this?? Preassure maybee?? we probably have a 8-1 doe to buck ratio, and i would estimate 75 deer per square mile. I have always taken off the last week of the season but i think i will take off earlier this year
