Default Great time of year to share some venison

Good morning guys/gals
Great site!
I just wanted to point out what a great time of year it is to introduce non hunters to the tasty venison we have harvested.
We had a very productive season here. Everyone tagged a deer and our new hunter scored on opening morning with a huge doe.
Hope everyone is well.

Or maybe even share some with new hunters who haven't managed to get one yet! (Um, ah, not that I know any, of course!)

I just brought a package of deer steak, a package of elk steak, a package of elk burger, a package of deer Italian sausage and a package of deer Pennsylvania Dutch sausage to one of my non hunting neighbors. They were thrilled and I was glad to share. The freezer is happy too since it was full beyond capacity.

So when did these deer you are hunting become Italian?

The deer weren't Italian...I am. I made the sausage so it is deer Italian sausage. Actually I got the recipe from our own Mastevt and it is a very good recipe and easy to make.

Every year I cook some up for our neighborhood cook out, and always share summer sausage and chili at work.

This year, my goal is to kill two more deer so I have an extra to share.
