Default .300 Savage Downs Wisconsin Buck!

Took this bruiser the Monday before Thanksgiving. Half of his 10 points were broken or damaged. He must have been a fighter. Not sure how old this feller is, but he field dressed at the locker at 186 pounds. Lots of meat in the freezer. My .300 Savage pictured did it's job. I love that old gun! Made in 1941 and still as accurate as the day it was made. We didn't see as many deer this year as in past years, in Southwest Wisconsin in Richland County. Good luck everyone! Good hunting.

My friend uses a 300 savage all the time. i think the gun is about as old as yours. i use to use a 30-30 stevens that was made back in 46. they'll get the job done. good buck.

Nice buck, Great gun!! I hunt near Boaz and we didn't see many either but still had a great time. Still sore from walking those hills.
