Gun Rest On Tree Stand

Gun Rest On Tree Stand
Hey guys I am planing on putting a portable gun rest on my new climber tree stand. Something that can be clamped on my foot rest and has a piviting head for complete control. I was wondering if anyone has tried making a gun rest for their tree stands. Is there anything out there that any store sell where you can clamp onto your tree stand.

RE: Gun Rest On Tree Stand
I modified my one Gorilla Kong XL stand that I only use for gun season by welding up some steel angles and drilling holes thru the footrest for bolts and wing nuts to support it. Folds up very well and adds a little bit of carry-in weight. I do have to hang it in two seperate pieces, but it's a great rest and my gun can lay across it if need be. I padded the top rail with pipe foam and some camo tape. Added the camo leaf pattern tape for the he11 of it last year. I also painted the stand and filled the tubing with "Great Stuff" expandable foam. You'd be amazed how quiet it is compared to out of the box.
Good luck, anyway.

RE: Gun Rest On Tree Stand
I love Gorilla stands. I use the same one's and weld arm rests on...and little extensions for the foot rests to stretch my legs out. I also weld on hooks to the arm rest on the opposite side that I climb in the stand. I hang my random stuff from them....coat if it's hot...bag...binoc's...etc.......
For gun hunting my buddy has a Primo's shooting stick that he swears by. He hangs it up in the tree if he's using the same stand the next day...or puts it at the base of another tree that he'll use the next time he hunts.
