I hope this doesn' t sound too stupid, but if the peak of the white-tail rut was the last week in November, and a deers gestation period is 200 days( I think), does that mean the does will start dropping fawns around mid-June? I see deer every day and as of yet I haven' t seen any fawns. Thanks folks, Bobby

Sounds right to me...Here the rut is early to mid-Nov, so that would put the birth of these new fawns, the end of May to the beginning of June.

We begin to see some fawns here in Alabama in the August time frame. Rut is not until mid January.
