Default Another story from Bristowboy! TRUE STORY lol

Well I was sitting there on the ground, calling on my call, when I see a deer looking my way. It comes closer and closer, and I see that its a nice 8 pointer. I was deciding whether or not to shoot, and then I noticed its brow tines were almost as long as its g2's... So I decided to shoot. It came closer and closer, and turned broadside at 15 YARDS! I center my crosshairs on its shoulder and pull the hammer back on my gun. And I squeeze the trigger......*CLICK* wtf?! The deer runs off, and I realize to my horror and disghust....After a mile long walk in the dark to my stand, I FORGOT TO PUT A SHELL IN THE CHAMBER!!! Well the buck stopped about 40 yards off, and there was a few small trees in the way... So I try to get a shot, and I do believe I hit a tree. The buck ran down the hill, stopped, looked around, and took off walking. I followed its tracks, no blood anywhere. My nephew, who was hunting in the direction that the buck went said he saw an 8 pointer walk past his stand, but he didnt shoot.... so maybe it was the same deer. What a world lol... go on and laugh if you want.. I did.
