Busy Day for Dubois Indiana (possible New state record)

This morning was the first day of Indiana's firearm season, Less than a mile from where i killed my deer a guy that lives down the road shot a 22 point non typical buck with a 28 in spread. this thing is huge, sorry but i got no pics, but keep an eye out for this guy in the magazines. I shot an8 point with a 15" spread, not as big of a deer as I wanted but he was right there. My neighbor shot the 140 class 10 pointer that I was after early this mornong. My uncle shot a very nice 9 pointer with great mass and a 21" spread. and my other uncle shot two cyotees. What A day!

Wow that is good to hear, i live about 10 miles from there. There were alot of nice bucks being taken in our area today.

I heard there was a guy that owned a BBQ place at Prides Creek in Petersburg killed a huge one. Is this his?

No i don't think that this is the same guy. And sorry i dought i can get any pics, I do not personally know the guy. But today I went to the local outdoors shop todayand they heard that this deer has a real good chance of becoming the new state record. I still cant get over the size of this animal, and to think he was so close to me.

I heard last night the deer I am talking about was killed with a bow Friday before opening gun season. A friend of my brother seen it and took a phone camera pic but he said it was really dark and did not turn out. Rumor is that it may be a new non-typical state record. Can't confirm any of this, just a rumor at this point.
