Default would you kill a doe

If a doe were standing 20 yards awaywould you shoot or wait for a buck.

Of course. Meat is meat. If one came out with a buck I'd take the buck first sure. But I wouldn't hesitate to take a doe.

Also, by limiting the number of doe's on your land you intinsify(sp) the rut. Rut is less agressive when the doe to buck ratio is higher.

NO

In FL you have to be awarded Doe tags and Bucks have to have antlers 5" above the head!

I think there needs to be more to it than that. Do you have just one either sex tag? Is it the first day of hunting season? Do you live in an area with an excessive number of deer or an area with a high ratio of does per buck?

I have 2 doe tags that I could use and I saw 2 does that I could have shot last week but I didn't because I actually think I have more bucks than does currently and haven't seen any signs of habitat destruction due to overpopulation of deer.
