Default Shortest Shot

Saw the thread with the longest shots. Got me thinkin bout the other end of the spectrum. Whats the shortest shot you've ever taken on a deer? Mine is 10ft with my 20 gauge shotgun

lets just say if i had a bayonet on my mauser i could have used it

that aint no joke either. someone on the other mountain must have spooked it..ran straight up my side of the mountain as dad and i were coming down. we jumped behind a giant oak tree and i kneeled down..it passed the tree and froze...i let the mauser bark...

My very first deer. I could have jumped out of the stand with a knife. There was no chance to BS-ing anyoneabout any great shot on that one. We found the plastic wading from the shell in the rib cage.

16 yds with a .308 from a make-shift ground blind. 12 yds with a bow from a tree stand.
