Default to creek or not to creek, this is my question

I live on a 100 acre farm, and have hunted here all my life. I've shot alot of nice deer, in open fields, and in hardwoods. In 1994 my grandfather had the land logged. Now I have alot of thick underbrush lining my creek banks. Well since the logging, I have hadto change my hunting strategies a bit. Well there is one huge buck I have been tracking for about 4 years now, and he likes the thick stuff. I have tried drawing him out of it, tried running him out and still nothing. I notice this one path he uses by the large amount of sign, along the way. He crosses thecreek in this area alot. Way too thick to set up in. So here is my question. Is it possible toset up in thecreek and ambush him when he crosses, or could he be using thecreek in a means to travel undetected, the water washing his tracks away? Is this at all posibile? Have any of you ever done this before or am I just crazy

i am not sure but i do note think he is smart enough to think hey if i walk down this water my scent and tracks will go away and the dumb hunter will not be able to find me i would go in and cut some of the thick stuff out and set up about 10 years to 20 off the path

i had some land in ky that was real thick and they loved it i went in and cut some out to funnel them in to my back yard and when everything was said and done i had moved them from one side of the land to the other about a 100 yards or so and they came right down the clear paths i made about 5 yards wide to my 50 pounds of corn they liked so much

untill i had some d*m tresspassers on my land a week before gun season after that they seemed to move to the other side again i hate treepassers my the all fall into a black hole

Standing in the creek to shoot may be illegal, check your game laws.

I have thought of doing this once in awhile to only problem is the creeks around here are small and the deer go over/through them very quickly not giving you a shot at all.
