Default What a Friend(Big SC Buck Down)

Last Tuesday a friend of mine called and wanted to go and find a spot for him on some Game Management so I decided to tag along( I was not planning on hunting this property till next week). We walk along some road beds that had been thinned of the pines this summer and I pointed to a tree and said thats where I would set up if it were me. Well, at about 8:15 this morning I get a text from him saying he just shot the biggest buck of his life. He has taken some good deer over the years but this one was phenomenal for a public land Buck. He was a 12 point and ended up weighing 205. Needless to say I will be spending some time in there this week. Sorry about the tongue.

We have some big deer in SC. They aren't dumb. It is VERY rare that a buck here gets 4+ yrs old, but if they do get a chance to reach that age...this is the end product.

Great buck.

I went to Oak Lea yesterday after work, but got down there too late. There was two trucks parked where I had scouted earlier this year to hunt.

I see that you are in Camden. That deer come from the Manchester? PM me if you don't wanna share that info. over the open forum.

Great SC buck. SC can grow big deer. That is proof of it. Hunters in SC need to get on the same page and let them grow.
