Hey fellas, I'm new to your forum (just found it today and it looks awesome). Actually I'm pretty new to whitetail hunting all together. As a teen I wondered out in the woods a few times and saw a handfull of deer but that was about it until two years ago when a friend and huge sportsman got me interested in hunting again. I went bow hunting a couple of times that year and saw a doe and fawn but that was it (closely resembled thehunts ofmy teen years). Anyway, last year I did a lot of research and scouting before season and it really payed off. My first deer ever was with a bow and the next two after that was with my Dad's .308. One was a real wallhanger!!! I'm now thoroughly addicted to whitetail hunting and have been looking for site to provide info for a newbe and this looks like the place.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy your time here and learn all you can. There are some very wise and skilled hunters that frequent this site so don't be afraid to ask questions.

First tip: Use the search function before asking something. Chances are it's been talked about several times and you can get your information there. If not, ask away and you'll certainly get feedback.

Best of luck.

Deer coming into my treestand, a big non-typical. Setup is perfect. I draw back, take aim, and the pin settles perfectly on it's chest.....My thumb hits the release, arrow glides noiselessly toward it's target............then I woke up.....dang, another day of classes *sigh*

PS. Does the armedic stand for arkansas medic, or army medic? If it stands for army, I'm at the 1/509th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Ft. Polk. If not, ignore what I said and "welcome".
