Default split beam or tine bucks

Have any of you taken whitetail bucks with split beams or tines and do you have pictures of the deer. Reason i'm asking is alot of people on other forums saying my grandpa's 12 pt. buck is a mulie when it's a whitetail. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n122/hoosierhunter06/grandpabensdeer001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Forked G-2's and short brow tines...

There is no question that is a mule deer.

where was the deer shot, for instance you wont see a mulie in Wisconsin? Is your grandfather around for you to ask and make sure it is a whitetail, or are you going by word of mouth "passed down" kind of records.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here is a buck I shot in 2005. By the way that rack looks awfully like a muley to me.
