slugs for remington 870 express magnum?

hay what type of slugs should I shoot for my 870

Rifled or smooth bore?
I shoot Winchester Partition Gold Sabots out of my 1100 rifled barrell and Regular Winchester 2 & 3/4" slugs from my 870.

Federals shoot good in my 870 but you should try several different brands to find out what shoots the best out of your gun.

im a big fan of the Hornady SST slugs... my 870 expressloves them.

Definately agree on trying different brands to see what happens down range.

My 870 also likes the Hornady SSTs, but equally well out to 50-60 yards I found out is the Brenneke Knockouts. Good for shooting if you are possessed with just wanting to shoot your slug gun. MUCH cheaper than the Hornadys.
