I saw somewhere that a closed military base in Penn. (I think), has a herd of them. Seems the genetic trait has been passed down through generations where they haven't been hunted. Now they're wanting to take down the fence to develop the land and the antis are protesting because the white deer will then bevulnerable to hunting.

The former Seneca Army Depot in NY haswhite deer but i am told that they they are not true albinos. They do not have pink eyes.

Illegal toshoot white deer in OK. It is a native American thing.

Use to have a true albino fawn who would come into my side yard with his sibling (totally normal) and eat apples that have fallen. About 2 weeks later someone hit him in front of my property. I removed him from the road as everyone was stopping to see what the big white thing was. Was cool to see him out there in the evening eating away, would have loved to seen him grown up now.

I have seen 2 others that were partial albino (had a few brown patches) forget what they call them around here.
