Default spotting scope

hey guys looking to purchase a new spotting scope that will be good for short and long distances... I would like a quality product so i do not wanna be cheap about it... I also don't want to spend over a thousand i'm looking into bushnells, nikons, and the leupold gold ring . Any suggestions and experiences would be helpful.

Can't go wrong with Leupold. Nikon makes pretty good optics too....

Nikon Fieldscope

I have read countless webpages about fieldscopes so that when I can afford to drop a G on one I will get the best bang for the buck.

Your best bet is to go to the bird watcher web pages. They are the experts on fieldscopes. Everything I have read indicates the Nikon stacks up nicely witht the Leica, Swaro and Ziess. I looked through one at a local birders shop and it was NICE!

This scope is also very user friendly for Digiscoping as well since Nikon is a big camera manufacturer.
