Alright! Just exactly what kind of deer hunters are we?

What kind of a hunter are you? What are your "priorities"? Multiple selections allowed but why not limit it to 2 choices.

I've hunted deer for the last 38 years, shot a few nice bucks and got some awful nice does. Right now, I go up to northern Wisconsin to be with the deer hunting gang and have a nice time. It's always nice to get a deer, I love the meat, but if I don't get one, I really don't mind, A nice big deer is alwasy good for sausage meat and slim jims, and if it has horns, that's a bonus !!!

I pick "I gotta get a BIG buck - all others can pass!" but I like shooting Does so add that too.

I deer hunt b/c I love being in the woods and I love deer meat. I usually hunt strictly meat until I get enough for me and the family, then I'll start hunting bucks.

I'm a Crop Enhancement Specialist...I hunt my own land almost exclusively and lose money when they eat too many beans and peanuts, I don't mind letting them have a few acres, but I'm not going to let it get out of control...Yep, I love killing good bucks, but if his antlers aren't at least 8 points and 18-20 inches wide then I'm not going to kill him, my niece might...I have taken does right there in the field with him...I look at it this way, if I catch a 6-7 pound bass I get a kick out of releasing him...If I let that good buck walk, he's leaving his good genes in the herd, and I'll bet that if he has made it 2-3 years then he will make it a couple of more.

When I was younger I was obsessed with bigger/better/faster/newest...Lets just say that I've grown up a bit....I get as much pleasure at preparing a good meal with the venison that I bring in as I do in hunting them...

i hunt just for meat but dont get me wrong if a big one walks out i will take him

I like to shoot a big buck, but if it comes down to the last day, I will shoot a doe so I can at least have some meat out of it. Plus we're allowed 4 doe tags if we want to buy them.

I voted gotta get the big buck all others can pass. I myself have a goal to shoot a big mature buck. Im not saying I wont take a doe during bow season, but gun season I will try to shoot a big mature buck...

love the meat but I won't shoot a small buck for meat unless it is a major cull. I like watching the deer so I wait for a big one.
