Is it good to place corn in a soggy bottom?

How soggy is it? Is the ground moist or is there standing water?

It is kind of muddy with layer of leaves with surrounding streams. Mud boots are required for the sogginess.

If the deer can get to it they will eat it! I have Corn,a salt block,Oats, and Lucky Buck mineral by the only soure of water on Gold(a pond)Hill here in SE Illinois. Try out my mix....it works great!!

P.S- I am coming out with my very own mineral in a year or less.

That is fine for the deer but, if you have turkey feeding in the same area it will posion them. Crack corn will work for both, I put out high protien sweet feed in a covered feeder, it has all the vitamins and some of the minerals deer need. I also have a mineral block close by that I burried a year ago, you would swear I have hogs rooting. If you are going to feed them, you might as well give them something that will benefit them and you.

If I were you I would find a stump to hollow out or use a feeder to get that stuff off the ground. You don't want any critters eating rancid corn.
