Default Favorite season

Although all deer seasons are good deer seasons....if you hunt bow, ML, and rifle for deer which is your favorite? Up here in Manitoba, though I enjoy bow....the mosquitos are still in force and though I enjoy rifle...it may be -20 to -30. So I would have to say the ML would have to be my favorite. The bugs are mostly gone, the fall colors are still in the trees, and you aren't worried about bending your limbs after sitting still at -20 (just getting old) for a few hours. How about you????

Rifle season is my time of the year. I love getting together with the old hunting friends. Good food, good talk and excellent company.

I lilke rifle season, but currently that's all I have done.

I will do some crossbow season, soon, though.

Muzzleloader sounds cool, though, 'cause in TN, muzzleloader season is one week before general firearm season, and after bow season, so the deer aren't skittish at the opening day of muzzy season, 'cause by the end of rifleseason, the deer get scared of clearcuts, but a friend of mine shot his best deer ever in Muzzleloader season.

Easy answer.... BOW season here in Illinois! Our archery season runs from Oct 1 to Jan 10

I also look forward to the Youth Season hunt with my Daughter and can't wait until my 2 sons can join us in a couple more years. It's only the first weekend in October and it's an Atlerless-Only hunt but the weather is always beautiful and it's just fun to be out there!
