Default Some antler growth in Iowa!

Driving home last night from dinner in Southern Des Moines, I almost hit a decent sized doe, then I decided to stop and make sure there weren't more coming. 4 more does (no fawns, but big bellies) ran across followed by a smaller buck with about 3 inches of nubbin growth on each side!

He's not big enough to be a shooter yet and it was in a residential area with no hunting land around but it still got my heart rate up a bit to know they're growing for next year already!

I checked the trail cams yesterday and had a few pix of bucks showing growth. The larger buck was just begining to show branching at the browbut wasonly a few inches high. It won't be long before we start seeingsome real horn!
