how do you field dress?
I have never been taught how to do it. I just cut everything out and make sure nothing leaks on the meat. Can some one tell me the correct way to do it? Thanks to whoever can help

Ah,
Greetings. Have you taken a Hunters Safety course? Mine went through this.
Do you have a friend that you could hunt with that knows how to field dress one?
You might be able to talk with a game warden or get more info from him.
We can give hints and talk about it but if some one is showing you it might be better.
Good luck
Rick

there you are canuck! Forgot exactly what your name was. Thanks for the info on your site. Tried your way a week ago and it was the cleanest field dress I have ever done. I couldn't find any large logs but I used the y on a downed tree. Thanks again!

Rickpa, you're most welcome. I'm glad it was of some help. More importantly, I'm glad you got something to use it on. Way to go!<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
