We walk down game trails that deer frequent to find ours. They can be anywhere though.

bedding areas on hill sides(normally where cedars are... just follow any deer trails and its bascially luck

I find mine in fields though. Normally deer start running and jumping around and they fall off then. I posted a pic with 8-9 sheds I found yesterday in here

Man some of you guys have all the luck finding sheds.. Ive been pounding trails and thickets for two weeks now, and havent found a shed yet. I was watching 6 good bucks on camera on a regular basis, and they have all dropped, so there are several horns already on the ground, but its so hard to find them in big timber[:@]. Guess ill keep looking.

Try at a fence crossing or somewhere the deer jump on a regular basis.

I'd have to agree with Crazyfarmer. up here on Lake of the Woods, most sheds we p/u are up on the ridges , south facing side. bucks and does like to sit in the sun, catch a few rays, and drop their racks.

I got lucky as hell this year... years before I was lucky to find 2-3 decent sheds if that. Next year I probably wont find the first one LOL

finding these things are just a matter of luck

Look where the deer have to jump, fences, creeks, the motion jars the horns loose. Also we check field edges, where they might graze at night.
