Whats your tactic to get blacktail deer

I use a spot and stalk method which works well but i have to sit in a treestand if i want to get a big one. what is your method to getting a blacktail buck?

Still hunt the heavy timber and spot and stalk the logged areas . We do some stand hunting but it isn't to productive in this area .
