Default Dog Deer Hunting Legality

I'm just curious as to what states allow hunting deer with dogs. I'm not trying to start a good vs. bad debate.

Here are the ones I know so far:

North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
Alabama
Mississippi
Louisiana
Missouri

I would also be interested in any special regulations pertaining to hunting deer with dogs in these various states.

In GA for example,
[ul][*]Minimum of 1000 contiguous acres (if leased), 250 contiguous acres (privately owned)[*]Property Must be permitted by GA DNR to run dogs[*]Each dog hunter must buy a $5 deer-dog license[*]Each dog and vehicle must have the property permit number attached during the hunt.[/ul]

I've only got 19 acres in Illinois, but I wonder if it would be legal if i promised to use a real small dog

Virginia has a tremendous history of deer dog hunting and it is legal here in our state. We have our problems with it, but hopefully we can work them out and continue a long tradition.

By the power vested in me... I hereby authorize you to run deer, but only with Yorkies.

I'm thinking something smaller than Yorkies. It should be very small, stubby legs, so that they will wear themselves out before reaching the property line.

How about pugs? They already breathe like they've got asthma. They'd probably run out of steam before they got to the end of a leash, let alone to a property line...

Pugs might work. Or maybe a Basset hound. It would likely stop and go to sleep after 100 yards, thus respecting boundaries. Or maybe i could train cats to do it, since i think that the ancient Egyptians used cats in this manner. Then there would be no howling to disturb neighborhing hunters. Apes might work too. If we can now teach them sign language, maybe we can teach them to read Posted signs. But, will an ape chase a deer unless it has a banana tied to its tail.
