what do you guys think i am going to sak. canada for whitetail hunt in 2007 i am thinking on taking my 7mm-08 loaded with 160 gr nosler partitons i use 140 gr partitions here is sc and they are deadly on the whitetail here.
Ithink you would be fine w/140gr pills. I load 140gr bullets in my 6.5 and 150gr for my .30-06. I would even say go w/ a conventional cup and core bullet....... I save partitionsfor moose. I know a virtual army of hunters that use .243' w/conventional bullets and have yet tohave a problem. Just put it in the right place. Good luck

I hunted Alberta in 2004 and harvested a buck that weighed close to 350lbs with a TC Encore in a 7mm08 139 grain ballistic tip ...took him at 165 yards ...you should be fine.
thanks guys that was my gut feeling all along! stick with the 140's i shoot a t/c encore and it is a very deadly/accurate combo! i shoot partitions because i feel a bullet is not a place to skimp! i look at it as sort of a cheap insurance if i do my part i for sure dont have to worry about the bullet doing it's part.
