Default hunt the does or hunt the buck sign

I am inMid- Alabama so our rut is getting cranked up but...

Here is my delima this weekend do I go to a spot where I have consistently seen 8-10 deer mostly does a few button heads,(gas line running through a 6 year old pine thicket) or do I hit the hardwoods where I see major buck sign 5-10 good fresh rubs. I have hunted the hardwoods twice only to see nothing but new rubs, good size and fresh scrapes. The two spots are over a mile apart so cant really hunt a funell in between. I know the bucks will be after those does, but do I stake out the gas line on jack up up a white oak?

with the rut at its peak you'll be best off hunting travel corridors between bedding areas, mature bucks don't like the open country unless they're with a hot doe.

I live in clay county,al and thursday afternoon about 4:45pm I was in my stand and 2 does and a fawn walked out of a thicket I was setting about 75yds back from. I was going to take the biggest doe, but I decided to wait and hope to catch a buck going after that fawn if she comes in heat.
