Default Who has been run over by deer?

I was wondering how many deer hunters get run over while hunting, cutting wood, etc.

I have never BEEN run over, but I have a Ranch Hand full front end replacement that has "eaten" 5 deer without a scratch to my truck.

I dove out of the way of one. I had shot a deer, some guys were continuing to come thru on a push. there was a late deer that didn't know which way to run. Well she decided to go full bore on the trail and as she crested the hill thereI was in her way. We both went to dodge the same way, but fortunately deer are quite agile and she zigged back and ran past just inches from my feet as I lay sprawled on the ground.

Twice in my life it has happened to me.Onece in 1982 and this year.In 82 i caught the deer in mid air,a small doe.I slammed her down on her back and tried to control her feet.A verry comical situation from someone elses perspective. This year,I was hit below the ribbs by a little fork.he knocked me over a log,and kept going.I was fine when i got to my feet, but 5-10 minutes later i realy got wobbley legged and week.I even checked for extra holes to see if i could be bleeding to death. In both cases the deer got the best of me,and i am learning that im not the only thing deer run from.Staying off the side of game trails may be my lesson learned here.I guess deer have the right of way!

I had one come by me the other day on a push that I could have touched... she went right past the tree I was behind... probably 3 feet away.

Never run over, but I was sitting on a downfall leaning against a tree when I here a twig snap behind me! I turn around to see a big ole doe, eye to eye! I swear we almost touched noses and I could see my reflection in her eyes! Scared thecrap out of me, her too! I never got a shot off and it took me a good hour to stop shaking!

Actually had a little buck clip me as I was coming around the front of my dump truck.....WHILE I was unloading wheat. The truck was running, the farmall tractor running, and the grain auger bangin away. I have no idea why he would decide to go across the farm right in the middle of all that fuss!??

I was almost run over when i was about 7 or 8.My dad took me squrril hunting in ohio at salt fork or salt lick public hunting land and we heard some dogs running something and i steped out from behind a big oak and here she came running all out straight at me and i just stood there looking and i mean she was running straight at me.Well my dad pulled me back behind the tree and when she went bye we could of just stuck a hand out and touched her.
