Deafhunter, dogs will most certainly scare deer away. Where the box stand that I mentioned in my earlier response is at, is not too far from a hunting buddy that I know, that does not keep good tabs on his old golden retriever, "bouser," and bouser will stroll on into the woods while I am hunting and hang around playing with sticks, looking for scents and generally taking dumps. I know that he pushed deer away.
I was tempted to fling an arrow toward him one time, but he is a good old dog that happens to be the daddy of most of the younger dogs int he neighborhood. [&:]
