The Scoop:You just caught him crossing over a clearing following behind some does. It's pre-rut and he is beginning to chase. He isn't staying for long, so your decision is on the line. 100 yards is nothing for the .243, but what about the power?

my brother shoots a 243 and i've witnessed him dropping deer in their tracks out to 150 and 175. 100 is nothin take him

100 yard shot with a .243 is plenty of power. I'd pass on him though because he's a 2-1/2 year old deer with good potential to grow into a giant buck in a few years.
