Default Baby deer being raised by a cow.

This picture was takenjust outsideof a small town in OK. Something happened to the mother before hunting season and it has chosen a cow to raise it. My brother has actually seen the cow licking it. This is right beside a fairly busy highway andthe paved road leading into the town. Has anybody else seen this? Any guesses on how long it will stay with the cow? Pretty neat to me.

i've heard similiar stories envolving different animals, so i guess it's possible. hope the "nearby" highway don't get her.

My grandparents in Missouri sent me an article from thier local paper about 4 years ago. Same thing there. Cow took on a fawn to raise. They are in the Ozark Mountains.

LOL, I've always joked that deer were merely skinny wild cattle. Whether raised by a deer or raised by a cow, I'm sure that thing will still be tasty in a few years.

A guy I know got a fawn that was orphaned and he and his kids fed it and took care of it. It just stayed around the house and then ended up going out and staying with the cattle and grazing with them. I think it eventually went back to the wild.
