Default Bama 12 point

I took this tall-rack 12 point today in East Alabama. He's got a 2 inch kicker point on the back of his left brow tine and a 1 inch sticker on the right base you can hang a ring on. I found fresh scrapes 2 days before that were still steamin' when I saw 'em. I was suprised when I sawthe scrapesb/c it's usually not until January when we see scrapes like that down here, so I knew I needed to get in there and hunt him asap. Set-up was perfect, I just wish it was this easy all the time. His spread wasn't wide at all but he's got a nice tall set of antlers with good character. Can't wait to see him on the wall.

That's a nice looking deer. How old do you think he is and what did he dress out at? I'm curious because I'm from Wis. and have never hunted down south. To me, he looks to be 3 1/2 or maybe 4 1/2. Deer like that would dress between 175 and 200 lbs up here. It gets pretty cold up here so the need the extra weight in order to survive the winters. Congrats.

Thanks.I figured hewasat least 4 1/2, but the base of the antlers were real knotty with those kickers and stickers on it making me think hewas older. He had fairly good mass too. He dressed at about 160, but my scale aint worth a crap so it wasn't too accurate. Nice deer for our area though.
