Whitetail Deer HuntingGain a better understanding of the World's most popular big game animal and the techniques that will help you become a better deer hunter.
Get your buddy whose job it is to flya helicopter equipped with heat sensors liquored up enough to agree flying over your hunting area to pinpoint where the deer are using GPS coordinates. Then plug in the hangouts as waypoints, formulate a strategy based on wind and entry/exit to the area, and set up stands.
Wouldn't consider it "cheating", but it's certainly not much of a fair chase tactic. Plus the costs of flying and the necessary hardware would add up pretty quickly.
Even if I stumbled around the woods all day and didn't see a single deer, I'd still be more satisfied with the experience than if I shot a buck using an airborne spotter.

well drinking with 8 hours before flying is against FARs, so I'll go with "illegal" for $100 Alex.
Now if you skip the booze, I still think you have legal considerations to worry about. As its already been mentioned, its against many state laws to scout or hunt using aircraft.
I'll leave the moral debate for the more seasoned hunters...
How about using my computer to look at livesatellight inferred of anywhere .No aircraft involved. You could see all the other hunter and the game.Hear me now believe me later.SNL

I'm sure he meant liquored up enough to agree to do it, not actually do it while he's liquored up....at least I hope.... Otherwise I say go for it. Not much different than game cameras if you ask me.

I was half joking, but there is value in having that information, particularly for different times of the year to know when deer change locations based on food, cover, etc.
If you are talking about pre season scouting from a plane or helicoptor I honestly don't see a problem with it if you have the money. Not much different than using trail cams and arial photography in my opinion. I would suggest a small plane though, helicoptors are VERY expensive to operate.
Now if you are talking about being on the ground with somene in the air telling you where to go on a radio or something that is wrong to me, and most likely highly illegal.
