13 pointer from Sullivan County. Deep woods moutain deer.

Shame he had his antler ripped off. Well, I'll make sure that I won't be hauling a buck in a truck when I get one.

The taxidermist can fix that though, I think.

It's amazing the antlers are as big as they are, if they fell off from that, it must not be healthy.

Perhaps he was just rutted out. He was done breeding so his testosterone levels dropped. The guy dragged him about a mile or so by his antlers and it finally ripped off in the truck. It looks just like a fresh shed. He's lucky it didn't fall off 5 minutes before he shot it.
