I went out last night to my father's property with my Savage 10ML II (41gr. of 5744, 300 gr. Barnes expander MZ). I typically bowhunt but wanted to try Muzzleloader hunting this year. Around 4:45 I noticed two does by the garden but scanned to my left near the pond and noticed this 8 pointer. I drew aim at 80 yards and broadside hit him. He ran about 30 yards and dropped. After I shot I noticed the doe to the left of him, I reloaded as fast as I could and dropped her in her tracks. In the picture I have my best hunting partner with me! ...NOTE: It is legal to take two deer in the same day here in Virginia.
