Default Primos "The Can"

I recently purchased this call mainly b/c it looked like it produced results and was easy to use. But I was wondering how many other hunters use it and how they use it calls per min., hunting situation etc.

My father in-law uses the doe bleat can. He says that if there are deer in the area it will get thier attention. He has also had deer come troting in to check it out.

And some times not a thing to be seen while using it. He says he will use it when ever, a few times an hour or a couple times in a row.

Hope this helps in some way?

Good Luck!

I have one. It is very easy to use and sounds real good.

When I'm not seeing deer, I will occassionally throw out 1-3 bleats. Sometimes every half hour, sometimes on the hour. It varies depending on how slow the day is. If I see a deer, I'll give it just one bleat. It seems to have worked on a group of does I saw on openning day of bow this year.

Have not had a buck respond to it from my blind calling.

i have used it for 2 years now, but have never had a deer respond to it. i have tried using it when i cant see a deer. i have tried when i have seen a deer out of bow range to try and get it to come closer, and even on some doe when they have been close, and they never respond. i keep trying though, you never know when it might bring something in...

I picked one of these up just before the season. I haven't had the chance to use it a whole lot yet. I haven't brought anything in with blind calling but that could just be because of where I'm hunting. I'm hunting along a travel corridor so there aren't a lot of deer present all the time to hear the blind calling.
However, a few weeks ago I spotted a 10 pointer about 200 yards away. He started heading my direction but then at 150 yards turned 90 degrees and started heading away. I threw out a few bleats and it made him curious enough to start trotting my way. He came to within 60 yards but I guess since he didn't see anything he turned back around. I tossed out a few more bleats as he was leaving but he didn't seem to care. It probably would have worked better if I had combined it with a scent drag or something else that would have given him confirmation that a doe was in the area. But it was still an exciting experience.

I have the Primos doe estrus call and it works great. I've use is blind calling mainly. When the moevement is slow, I'll turn it over 2-3 times and wait awhile. I normally wait at least 20-30 min before I use it again. I have had groups of does coming trotting in on alert very shortly after I used the call. Last season I had a young 8pt come running in a t break neck speed and stopped like he was looking for the doe. I have a buddy who has had similar results. However, it isn't a miracle cure. I have used it consistenly for the last 3 wks and have had a deer come into it, but that doesn't mean it never works. Good luck!

I have used the &quot;doe-in-estrus&quot; can also during the rut and it will call in deer. I call 2 or 3 times every hour...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I saw one buck at 200 yards and he made a straight line for me, stopped undermy stand for half a second, then kept going on the same path, always looking around like he was looking for a doe.
I used it a few times on sunday morning when i got my 8pointer, but i cant say for sure if i called that one in. i believe it is definatly worth the $11 i spent on mine.

I've used the bleet-n-heat can. I've had good luck with. I've used it for blind and site calling had luck bothways. The trick is to not over do it. 2-5 bleets then wait for 20-30 min. Always be on the look out. The deer will come in and sometimes you won't even see them. Like txcowboy said this is not a miracle cure. Sometimes the deer can be 100 yards away you can bleet to bring them in and they won't even fling.
