Default Bonded Slugs

Went out to sight in my shotgun for the upcoming gun season. I bought some remington "bonded sabot slugs" and I really like them. Does anyone know what "bonded" means? I looked on remington's website and a few other places but could not find a clear explanation

Default RE: Bonded Slugs

I think "bonded" refers to the way the copper jacket is attached to the lead. Keeps it from separating.
