Quick question, (icechest) hog

I posted this here because I felt I would get an answer quicker.

How long do you guys ice down your deer and hogs. I have a hog in the ice chest loaded down with ice since wednesday night, so its been two days. I drained it today and put fresh ice. How long do you leave it in there. Or how long can I leave it in there as long as there is ice.

I have left mine 5 days or more if you keep plenty of ice on it .

No more than 7 days! I left a deer, 2 hogs a barbado and a aoudad in the coolers with plenty of ice for a week and they tasted GREAT!!!!!!!

I would give you 5-7 days. Most important thing is to always leave the drain plug a little loose to drain the water as the ice melts. You don't want it in water.
