Default Portable Blind ?

I got a portable blind for turkeys this year, never did get out to use it. But my ? is, I have a spot this might work well for deer, it looks good with the windows up (mesh), but with them down it looks wierd with the big black holes where the mesh used to be when they are open. It says the shoot thru is for archery only and can catch fire if a firearm is used. Is this one of those to cover their buts just in case things or is it a "do not do no matter what" things?

My guess it's to cover butts. As long as your gun barrel goes out the window I can't imagine it catching on fire. Just a thought here but I would bet you couldn't start it on fire with your gun if you tried. Just be careful and you'll be fine IMO.

Like I said, I have never used one so does anyone else? Do you shoot thru the mesh like you do with an arrow, or have the mesh down and shoot out the open window? If it's down does the large black holes where the windows are spook the deer?

Make small slits in the mesh just large enough to allow your gun barrel to stick out and blast away , if the muzzle is at leat 8"-10" past the mesh/wall fabric you'll be ok . When I hunt from mine , which doesn't have mesh , I just zip the windows up to "murder slits" and poke the muzzle out when the deer show . This also helps with scent containment and keeps game from seeing me move . It also solves that pesky "black hole" problem .
