I just thought about doing this tonight, given the right wind conditions. Last weekend when we were hunting with our party, I jumped a nice buck from a bedding area and a day later I jumped 2 doe from the same general area. Problem is, I don't have a stand there, my stand is about a 1/2 mile to the west by a funnel on the edge of a field and a river, it is only about 40 yards wide where I am at.
What I was thinking about doing is sitting in my stand for the morning, then trying to sneak up along a ridge that overlooks the bedding area. The bedding area is in some tall grass with some brush. There is a small river/creek between the ridge and bedding area..with about a 10-15 foot line of trees along the ridge between the river and the field. Hopefully that makes sense to everybody else. But I just figured that maybe the deer had settled down a little bit over the week and that I could get a shot off before the pressure of deer drives comes on again this weekend.
What do you guys and gals think? Or did I just confuse everybody.

If you could get the wind right and get hidden good in that tree line.. You might beable to ambush something or maybe do some calling and call one up.. Never know until you try..
