Default will unseaonably hot temps delay the rut?

where i hunt the rut could start any day, but with temps being in the 60s for the next week or 2 instead of 40s or lower, could this delay the rut?, during the night. It still goes down to 32 during the night buck during the afternoon it gets hot.

The rut kicks in on length of days andnot temperature. Shorter days will activate the rut. It has been 75 degrees here in NC and the deer are ruuting just as hard as they can go.

Bar of soap- My guess it's because the tem is cooler out in nov. lows around 32 at night and hight around 40's during the day so some hunter thinks thats what triggers the rut just may guess .

In cooler weather you will see more daytime activity. The rut will go on regardless of temps. If it's hot, most activity will be at night.

IM in central missouri and the rut isnt being affected by the weather at all today it was almost 80 degrees and on my way to school this morning there were 4 nice does in my back yard, not 50 yards from my house. So I went out and took pictures. After school I waited until about 20 minutes before dark and went into my woods, sat by a tree and saw the four does and a nice buck following them around....I cant wait til saturday

I know here in texas we haven't had a good cold winter in a while, from all the research i have done I have heard many theories on what causes the rut to take place. some people say moon phases, cold fronts,or the length of day light (which I guess could be tied in with moon phases). The best theory I can come up with is a that they all effect rut. I have seen in past seasons the rut just kind of trickle down or may heat up (rut)one day when the conditions are right and then be really slow the next.

I think photoperiodism sets the rut off in november, and the warms temps keep em bedded during the daylight hours. Do wanna run around in a winter coat when its 80 degrees? Then again, stranger things have happened in november.

From what I've read, the rut is triggered by the amount of light that eneters the does eyes. As daylight diminishes, the estrous cycle begins. Warm weather will suppress movement, but not the rut itself.
