Default RE: DECOY- PICTURE??

Iwschumaker, I tryed the Renzo flat doe decoy while I was in Alberta. I was hunting on a huge cattle ranch and had several cattle come to it and even actually sniff it! Itwas funny to watch, they were curious for sure. That morning I didn't see any deer so I don't know how deer react to it, sorry.

Never used one of those decoys, I would imagine they would work quite well when deer see them broadside, but they won't see them if they are in front or behind because they are not 3d.

That's the way I feel.

Bucks approach a buck decoy head on while they approach a doe decoy from behind.

You'd think, that once a buck spots the decoy and circles around for its approach, that the decoy would disappear, in the deer's eyes.

I guess if you could get a shot before it circles around but then again, you are limited to the decoy being seen from only two sides as apposed to all sides with a 3-D decoy.
